Dr. Lisa Marks

Medical Director

Dr Marks is a Phlebologist and cosmetic and laser physician with more than 15 years of experience in the field of cosmetic medicine. She also has significant experience in skin and cosmetic rejuvenation.

Dr Marks graduated from the Flinders University of South Australia in 1995 with degrees in Medicine and Surgery. Dr Marks has a certificate in Dermatology from Monash University completed in 2003 and is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Phlebology (2015). Dr Marks has undergone extensive training in non-surgical management of varicose veins and has performed several hundred ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and endovenous laser procedures.


Dr Alexandra Turner

Dr Alexandra Turner FRACS

Plastic Surgeon

Dr Alexandra Turner is a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who trained in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Dr Turner graduated from Medical School in the UK in 2000. She has worked in world renowned Plastic Surgery Units such as Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London, East Grinstead Hospital in the UK, & Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. Dr Turner moved to Australia in 2008 and in 2016 she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) as a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon.

Dr Turner holds a Consultant Staff Specialist Position at Flinders Medical Centre. Her main specialities are in hand surgery, breast surgery, skin cancer surgery & paediatric plastic surgery. Her private practice includes all facets of plastic surgery with a significant proportion of cosmetic surgery. Dr Turner operates privately at Brighton Day Surgery, Ashford Hospital and Flinders Private Hospital. She consults at Brighton Day Surgery. Dr Lynton Stephens

Dr Stephens graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1990. He moved to Darwin for his internship and commenced training for rural general practice. He gained Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of GP’s and Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine in 1998. He returned to Adelaide in 2000 and commenced training and working in anaesthetics and intensive care.

Dr Stephens returned to general practice in 2007 and began training in skin cancer medicine with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

He now works predominately in skin cancer medicine. He has also performed Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy and Microsclerotherapy for varicose veins since 2010.

Dr Stephens continues his education with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia in skin cancer medicine, and is excited to offer these services at Brighton Day Surgery.


Registered Nurse

Leisa is a clinical nurse focusing on Skin Rejuvenation treatments to enhance your natural beauty. She is conservative in her approach to treatments, and prides herself on safe patient care and lovely results for patients. Leisa has over 10 years experience in cosmetic rejuvenation including wrinkle relaxants, dermal fillers, chemical peels and skincare. Leisa has been at Brighton Day Surgery since 2003.


Registered Nurse

Stephanie is a RN with over 30 years of experience. She has been a rejuvenation therapist at Brighton Day Surgery since 2009. She loves facial sculpting using dermal fillers, and the satisfaction and happiness this brings her patients. She also enjoys skin needling as it has great results with very little down time.



Alice has been at Brighton Day Surgery since 2012. She is committed to ensuring that patients experience the highest level of care during their journey with Brighton Day Surgery. Alice is responsible for Brighton Day Surgery maintaining accreditation with the 10 National Standards for healthcare, and the 5 Equip standards from the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards.

Sonya Johnston


Sonya has worked as a medical receptionist for over 10 years, and at Brighton Day Surgery since 2015. She is friendly, happy and prides herself on excellent customer service, showing genuine concern for each patient she speaks to.



Denise has worked at Brighton Day surgery since 2010. She likes meeting all the lovely patients, and being there for them, from their first appointment to their last appointment.
